How does Biomed_Advisor differ from ChatGPT or other AI tools?

Biomed_Advisor combines multiple specialized AI models that are optimally coordinated. While general AI tools often provide unverified answers, Biomed_Advisor delivers validated results with source citations. Additionally, it offers features like "Second Opinion", "Quality Analysis", and "Self-Verification" specifically developed for scientific requirements.

What tasks can I use Biomed_Advisor for?

Biomed_Advisor helps you systematically explore a research topic – until you have reached the current state of science. Only on this solid foundation does it propose possible research hypotheses. Which AI models does Biomed_Advisor use?

Biomed_Advisor operates model-agnostically and currently combines several leading foundation models, including models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google. This architecture enables the optimal model to be deployed for each task. In the future, additional specialized AI models will be integrated that particularly excel in reasoning capabilities.

What does "model-agnostic" mean?

Model-agnostic means that Biomed_Advisor is not tied to a single AI provider. New or improved models can be flexibly integrated without any changes for you as a user. This ensures you always benefit from the latest developments in AI.

How does Biomed_Advisor prevent hallucinations?

Biomed_Advisor employs multiple safety mechanisms: "Self-Verification" automatically checks results for plausibility, "Second Opinion" enables independent verification through alternative models, and "Quality Analysis" assesses the reliability of responses. Additionally, source citations are provided so you can verify statements yourself.

Data Privacy & Security

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored exclusively on highly secure servers in Germany. Biomed_Advisor can be deployed as a dedicated customer cloud where your data is completely isolated from other customers. For organizations with particularly stringent requirements, an on-premises installation is planned for the near future.

Is Biomed_Advisor GDPR-compliant?

Yes. Biomed_Advisor uses a proxy architecture with query masking: Your requests are routed through secure servers in Germany, where sensitive data is anonymized or removed before further processing. The individual AI models only receive the sanitized information necessary for analysis – they have no access to your original data and are unaware of each other. Your research data therefore remains within the EU.

What is the difference between Customer Cloud and On-Premises?

With Customer Cloud, Biomed_Advisor runs on dedicated servers in a German data center operated for you. With On-Premises, the entire infrastructure runs on your own servers – you retain complete control over hardware and data.

How is my intellectual property (IP) protected?

Your research data and inputs are not used for training AI models. The proxy architecture ensures that only sanitized requests are sent to the AI models. Additionally, the dedicated cloud environment guarantees that your content remains isolated.

Do I need programming skills?

No. Biomed_Advisor automatically generates Python code when needed and executes it in an integrated Jupyter notebook environment. You can perform complex data analyses without having to program yourself. For experienced programmers, the platform also offers full flexibility to customize the generated code.

In which research areas can Biomed_Advisor be used?

Biomed_Advisor covers the entire spectrum of biomedical research – from molecular biology and genetics to pharmacology and toxicology to clinical research and epidemiology. Interestingly, some users also successfully deploy Biomed_Advisor in adjacent disciplines such as Material Science – because they have found that the quality of results surpasses other tools. The model-agnostic architecture enables interdisciplinary research questions to be addressed as well.

How quickly can I start using Biomed_Advisor?

After contract signing, your dedicated cloud environment is typically ready within a few days. You receive your access credentials and can start immediately. For on-premises installations, the setup time depends on your IT infrastructure.

Do you offer training or onboarding?

Yes. We support you in getting started with individual onboarding sessions, where we tailor the platform to your research focus areas. For teams and institutions, we also offer more comprehensive training programs.

Can Biomed_Advisor be integrated into existing systems?

Can Biomed_Advisor make medical diagnoses?

No. Biomed_Advisor is a research tool and not a medical device. It supports the analysis and interpretation of scientific data but does not make diagnoses and does not replace medical judgment.

Who is responsible for research decisions?

Humans are. Our guiding principle is: "AI supports, humans decide." Biomed_Advisor provides well-founded analyses and suggestions, but the scientific responsibility remains with the researchers.

How does Biomed_Advisor ensure ethical standards?
